Margriet’s career in the IT industry spans over 20 years, during which she has been deeply involved with Microsoft technology. Her journey began as a software developer, mostly specializing in SharePoint technology. Notably, Margriet was among the first eleven individuals worldwide to receive the prestigious SharePoint Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award. Her commitment and expertise have earned her a total of 5 MVP awards, in addition to being recognized with multiple Microsoft Community Contributor (MCC) awards.
Margriet’s influence extends beyond awards and accolades. She has made significant contributions to the field, having authored, co-authored, and contributed to thirteen books published by renowned publishers like MS Press, Manning Press, and APress. Furthermore, Margriet has penned numerous articles for professional journals and actively participated as a speaker at events such as MS TechNet and SharePoint Connection.
Currently, Margriet holds the position of ING Chapter Lead for Employee Engagement, combining managerial responsibilities with technical expertise. This position is not only well-suited for Margriet but also thoroughly enjoyable.
